Every week we have the privilege of connecting kids with their Creator. Together with their parents, we seek to lead our kids to love Jesus and love others. River Kids is a place where your child can:

  • KNOW God

  • GROW to become more like Jesus

  • DISCOVER their purpose

  • IMPACT our world with the love of Jesus Christ.

Preschool

The first five years of life are the most important in the development of a child – physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. It is during this time that foundations are being laid in the life of children.

Our preschool basic truths we want them to know and understand are: 

  • God made me

  • God loves me

  • Jesus wants to be my friend forever

Elementary

Elementary is an exciting stage where kids are beginning to explore who they are in Jesus and how God’s word can shape their lives. During these years, kids are building on the foundations laid in preschool.

Our elementary basic truths we want them to know and understand are:

  • God helps me make the wise choice

  • I can trust God no matter what

  • Jesus helps me love others the way He loves me

  • The nursery ministry, for your eight-week old babies and one-year olds, joins you during this small, but very important window of time, to minister to them as young children. We will provide your child with physical and emotional care and begin laying a spiritual foundation in a safe and fun environment.

  • The preschool ministry, for ages 2-5, gives children a first look at the Bible through fun and interactive games, crafts, age-appropriate Bible lesson and application activities. There’s a lot of jumping, singing, dancing, learning and laughter every Sunday!

  • On Sundays, our River Elementary Kids meet in the 300 Hallways at Valley Ridge Academy. Parents will check in at the welcome desk and walk their kids back.

    Kids Life Groups @ 9:30

    Parents will drop all elementary kids off in their Life Group classroom.

    Before 10:45, parents will pick up kids from their Life Group rooms.

    At 10:45, Life Group Leaders walk kids back to the KidWorship space for snack and games before KidWorship starts.

    KidWorship @ 11:00

    Kids will have a great time learning more about Jesus through interactive Bible stories and games in a high energy, large group environment.

  • Kids Club is 3:00-4:30pm on Wednesdays during the school year for our kids in 2nd-5th grade. We meet at our Flex Space at 145 Hilden Rd. Suite 121. Kids will have fun building friendships and studying God’s word in an engaging environment!

 

Safety

Your child’s safety is of the utmost important to us. When you check-in you will receive a name tag for your child and a security tag for you. You will need to show your security tag to your child’s leaders for them to be released to you. We do provide snacks for kids. If you child has any allergies, if you will please let our team know when you are checking in.

Health & Wellness

We do our best to maintain a healthy environment for all of our kids and leaders. We ask parents to help us with this by keeping any kids home who are showing any visible signs of illness until they are fever or symptom free for 24 hours.
